Michael J. Dunn concentrates his practice in state and federal criminal law, personal injury, and family law, including the areas of juvenile delinquency and child neglect and abuse. Mr. Dunn earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from John Marshall Law School and his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Western Michigan University. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Elmhurst College and his Associate's degree (A.A.) from College of DuPage.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Dunn is an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he teaches courses in Michigan Criminal Practice, Drunk Driving practice, Children and the Law, Child Abuse and Neglect, and Moot Court. He also co-hosts the regionally-syndicated radio program "The Lawyers Show," a two hour weekly talk show that covers current issues in the law. Mr. Dunn has also authored articles for the Michigan Bar Journal, including a 2010 article on Michigan's new "Super Drunk Law," and he was a contributor to the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's publication on Michigan Criminal Procedure.
Mr. Dunn serves as chairman of the Caledonia Township Zoning Board of Appeals and as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team for the Comprehensive Approaches to Sex Offender Management (CASOM) program for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
